For the month of February and March we have been working on being a kind student, friend, and citizen.  Whenever an adult catch us doing something kind, we are given a coupon.  Look at how well we are doing!

Spring Gardening

 We are prepping our garden.  Today we weeded and tilled the soil.  We are getting ready to plant.

Race For Success!

 We spent a Saturday at Loyola Marymount University raising money for our school.  We participated in a 5k and a 1k.  As you can see many families participated.

STEAM Challenge: Building a bridge to hold a pot of gold.

 The class was given a few materials to build a bridge to hold a pot of gold.  They had to discuss, plan, and sketch their idea with their partner.  It was amazing how quickly they created their bridges.

The 5 Senses

 We have been learning about the five senses.  Today, we explored our sense of smell.  We had to predict what scent was in each of the four containers.  We then confirmed our predictions and drew or wrote the correct answer.

Typing

 We are learning how to type.  Today, we learned how to use the shift and cap lock keys.

 We also have been learning how to highlight letters to change the color of the font.
